Family Studies Undergraduate Committee (FSUC)
PURPOSE:
The Family Studies Undergraduate Committee (FSUC) is a non-profit organization, the main objective of which shall be to serve the students of the Department of Human Development & Family Studies.
MISSION:
The Mission of the FSUC is:
- to be the voice of the undergraduate student body;
- to provide a resource to the undergraduate students;
- to organize and fund student directed and centered activities;
- to create and stimulate interest in Human Development & Family Studies among the undergraduate students;
- to build "major pride" among the students of the Department of Human Development & Family Studies;
- to promote awareness of the diversity and strength within the Department of Human Development & Family Studies as well as a stronger sense of community within the University;
- to promote the Department of Human Development & Family Studies throughout the larger communities outside of the University;
- to lobby for the Department of Human Development & Family Studies and when necessary to represent the Department.
- undergraduates in any forum, both on or off campus.
MEMBERSHIP:
Membership is open to any undergraduate university student interested in actively helping to achieve the ideals set forth.
MEETINGS:
Meetings are scheduled to accommodate as many attendees as possible during the semester. Look for flyers and emails notifiying students aobu tour next meeting or email our secretary, Lindsay Heyer.
All students in the Department of Human Development & Family Studies are welcome to attend.
ACTIVITIES:
Activities for 2007-2008 include:
- Student/Faculty Pizza Socials - every semester
- Involvement with the Family Studies Alumni Society
- Spring Career/Internship Night
- T-shirt Fundraising
- Relay for Life
