Selected Professional Accomplishments:

  • Principal Investigator and Project Director, Positive Behavior Strategies Training Project, Grant award in the amount of $230,000 from the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council; project developed in collaboration with WIHD colleagues, 7/1/03 - 6/30/04.
  • Invited participant, National Goals, the State of Knowledge and a National Agenda for Research on Intellectual and Developmental Disability: An Invitational Collaborative Conference, sponsored by The Arc of the US, The US Department of Education, the US Department of Health and Human Services, and professional, trade and service organizations, January, 2003.
  • Principal Investigator, Clinical Practice Guidelines for Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Communication Disorders, Competitive contract funding of approximately $85,000 per year, awarded by NYS Department of Health, 2001-2004.
  • Principal Investigator and Project Director, The Children's SSI Project, Multi-year policy analysis, curriculum development, and training project conducted under subcontract from the Social Security Administration to the Association of University Centers on Disabilities, funding of approximately $200,000.
  • Associate Principal Investigator, Project Cope, $100,000 grant awarded by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, Administration on Children and Families, US Department of Health and Human Services, 2001-2002.
